Arkansas Short Takes Features Undergrad With Big Aspirations

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.— University of Arkansas senior Mike Norton, of Lincoln, Ark., is the subject of the debut edition of Arkansas Short Takes, the new weekly series of short videos that tells the story of a U of A student, faculty member or special point of pride.

Norton, an Honors College student majoring in agricultural economics and business in the Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences, has found life-altering experiences through the university’s study abroad and internship programs, which enabled him to study at the London School of Economics and to work in Ghana for the World Cocoa Institute as part of his U of A undergraduate experience.

Arkansas Short Takes runs approximately 90 seconds and is available to the public via the Arkansas Short Takes web page and through the U of A’s social media channels. In addition, a link to each week’s episode will be e-mailed on Fridays to university alumni, donors and parents of current students.

Each edition of Arkansas Short Takes is introduced by a student host. The first installment is hosted by Abigail Brumfield, a senior political science major from Springfield, Mo.

The series’ producer is Kris Katrosh of the U of A’s office of university relations.
