Blackboard Dashboard Monitors Current Status

IT Services recently released the Blackboard Dashboard, a live monitoring system located at https://techarticles.uark.edu/blackboard/dashboard. The dashboard provides current status, response time, and recent outage information for Blackboard Learn. If a green bar appears in the Current Status section, Blackboard Learn is available.

The dashboard was designed to help students and faculty determine whether a technical issue is caused by Blackboard downtime or the user’s computer or Internet connection. When a user is having trouble accessing something in Blackboard Learn and the system is available, IT Services recommends using the Support Checklist at techarticles.uark.edu/172 to ensure the user’s computer and Internet connection are working properly. Check the status of the campus network at http://network.uark.edu. Users can contact the IT Services Help Desk at 479-575-2905 for support resolving checklist issues.

Planned maintenance causing Blackboard Learn to be unavailable is posted at http://its.uark.edu/alert_calendar. If Blackboard Learn is down and there is no planned maintenance, report the outage to the Blackboard Learn Help Desk at 479-575-6804. To alert technical staff if Blackboard Learn is not responding after hours, call 479-575-2904.
