EAP Workshop: Why Be Happy
Do happy people really have advantages over unhappy people or does it just seem that way sometimes? Is being happy something you can take control of? If you're curious to the answers to these questions, come to the EAP workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 11, from 2-4 p.m. in the Arkansas Union, Rooms 510-511.
Rebecca White of the Employee Assistance Program will give a workshop titled "Why Be Happy." This lively workshop explores some of the traits of happy people: gratitude, optimism, engaged in good and worthy activities, and connection with others. Presented in this workshop participants will learn how to incorporate these traits into their lives.
Rebecca is the EAP's program director and a certified employee assistance professional and licensed clinical social worker. She has over 22 years experience in the behavioral health field, and she specializes in working with families in transition, specifically divorcing families, and grief counseling. She is a past president of the Arkansas Chapter of Employee Assistance Professional Association and is an advocate for promoting knowledge about the EAP industry among Arkansas businesses.
