Jazz Trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis to Work With U of A Students
Delfeayo Marsalis
Jazz trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis, a member of the legendary New Orleans Marsalis family including father Ellis, and brothers Branford and Wynton, will meet with University of Arkansas jazz students from 11:30 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, in the Epley Band Building on the university campus.
Delfeayo will be offering a clinic on jazz improvisation for students in the jazz ensemble and will demonstrate his own approach to this American art form. The clinic is free and open to the public as space permits.
His appearance at the University of Arkansas is supported by the North Arkansas Jazz Society, the U of A music department, and the university's cultural activity fee.
