Red Out Weekend Planned

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – With key Southeastern Conference match-ups in football and volleyball set for campus this weekend, Razorback Athletics is calling on fans to participate in a Red Out weekend.

Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite Razorback red apparel for Friday night’s volleyball match against No. 13 Florida at 7 p.m. and for Saturday afternoon’s football game against No. 1 Alabama at 2:30 p.m.

“We want to encourage all our fans to support our student-athletes this weekend by wearing Razorback red,” said Jeff Long, vice chancellor and director of athletics. “Our fans have always helped us create a tremendous home atmosphere and advantage and I know our fans will rally behind both teams again this weekend. With the football game on CBS, it is also a great opportunity to show the nation the passion of the Razorback Nation.”

Fans can receive a free ticket to Friday night's volleyball match by simply showing their Alabama football ticket for Saturday at the south ticket booth at Barnhill Arena. Also, the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a free red Razorback volleyball T-shirt courtesy of Cox Advanced TV. First serve is set for 7 p.m. between the Razorbacks and the Gators.

On Saturday, a capacity crowd is expected in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium as Arkansas hosts defending national champion Alabama. The game is set for 2:30 p.m. and will be televised nationally by CBS Sports.
