Computer Training Network Adds Adobe Application Classes to Fall Schedule at Global Campus
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The computer training network added Adobe Creative Suite 6 application classes to its fall schedule of one-day computer training classes designed to help professionals enhance their skills and improve workplace efficiency.
Online registration is open to the public at http://globalcampus.uark.edu/register for hands-on, instructor-led computer classes at the Global Campus at 2 E. Center St., Fayetteville, and 3300 Market St., Rogers. The Global Campus provides computer training classes as part of its mission to support professional development.
Mike Sypult, director of computer training, and instructor Starlyn Danley teach the classes. Sypult has more than 20 years of experience as a computer training specialist; Danley has more than 15.
The Adobe application class titles and dates in Fayetteville include:
- Adobe Acrobat X Pro Basics, Wednesday, Sept. 26
- Adobe Photoshop CS6 Basics, Wednesday, Oct. 10
- Adobe InDesign CS6 Basics, Wednesday, Oct. 24
The cost for each Adobe application class is $199, but University of Arkansas faculty, staff and students pay the discounted price of $149 through collaboration with the university’s human resources office.
“Recent survey results conducted through human resources demonstrated a campus-wide interest in training for applications such as Acrobat, Photoshop and InDesign,” Sypult said.
The 2010 Microsoft application classes offered in Fayetteville and Rogers include Access, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Windows 7, PowerPoint, Visio and Word. The cost of a Microsoft application class is $159, but university faculty, staff and students pay $99.
A list of all Adobe and Microsoft application classes, dates, times and detailed descriptions are available at http://training.uark.edu. Seating is limited to 12 seats per class to ensure a low student-to-teacher ratio.
The computer training network also offers customized, in-house computer training to businesses and organizations. Training can be done at company sites through the use of the Global Campus’ 16-computer mobile lab.

Sypult is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator who plans, develops, customizes, coordinates and implements computer training programs for public and private organizations, businesses and industries across Arkansas. He conducts technology presentations at professional conferences and provides Microsoft Office training for the J.B. Hunt corporate office in Lowell.
Danley is a Microsoft Office Specialist who worked in technology instruction in both corporate and academic environments for 15 years. She provided end-user solutions for organizations, such as Sandia National Laboratories, various district attorney offices, public school districts and the mortgage and investment industry. She developed training solutions for proprietary software to maximize process efficiencies and communication between technology and business users.
