FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Erin Hogue of Fayetteville is the new director of development for the University of Arkansas Division of Student Affairs. She most recently served as the associate director of development for the College of Education and Health Professions.

Hogue reports jointly to Daniel Pugh, vice provost and dean of students, and to Mark Power, assistant vice chancellor for university development.

“We are thrilled to welcome Erin to the student affairs team,” said Pugh. “Her broad fundraising experience and familiarity with the University of Arkansas prepare her well to take our division to the next level. There are many opportunities for growth, and I look forward to working with Erin to enhance relationships with our loyal friends and alumni. She is already off to a great start.”

During her more than four years with the College of Education and Health Professions, Hogue worked to secure private gift support for the college by proactively identifying and building relationships with prospective donors and helping to further engage current benefactors to the college. She handled stewardship activities, administered the college’s scholarship process and oversaw the college’s Dean’s Advisory Council.

“Erin has been an outstanding member of our fundraising team, and this promotion is well-deserved,” said Power. “She has a sincere passion for the university, and her commitment to improve students’ experiences ensures a seamless transition into her new role on campus.”

Prior to joining the University of Arkansas staff in 2006, Hogue held positions as the finance director, scheduler and executive assistant for Congressman Mike Ross and the Mike Ross for Congress Campaign Committee in Washington, D.C., and Fayetteville, Ark. Previously she was the state legislative assistant for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in Washington, D.C.

“I am thrilled to have this opportunity to work on behalf of all current and future University of Arkansas students to ensure they have a positive university experience, both inside and outside of the classroom,” said Hogue. “It is an honor to join such a devoted and energetic team, dedicated to serving our students and enriching the quality of campus life.”

Hogue holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia and a master’s degree in legislative affairs from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in history at the University of Arkansas. Hogue and her husband, David, have one daughter, Mackenzie.
