Nursing Instructor, UA Alumni Attend Leadership Training in Nation's Capital

Lepaine Sharp-McHenry, assistant director of the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing at the University of Arkansas, worked with students from six states, including Arkansas, at the Leadership Training Institute of America national conference in Washington last month.
Sharp-McHenry serves on the organization's board of directors.
This year, three University of Arkansas alumni participated in the program. Christina Kovach and Zack Blake joined the Leadership Training Institute of America as staff. Kovach graduated from the University of Arkansas in 2011 with a degree in childhood education. Blake graduated in 2003 with a degree in business administration and a minor in German and a violin scholarship while he was a four-year walk-on for the Razorback football team. Trinity Dutton graduated in 2011 with a degree in communications.
The Leadership Training Institute of America is a not-for-profit educational training organization that provides high school and college-age students with training in Biblical worldview studies, cultural dynamics, and leadership values. Every year, students are introduced to leaders who share their personal experiences in leadership roles and responsibilities.
Speakers at this year's conference included U.S. Rep. Steve Womack and U.S. Rep. John Boozman, both of Arkansas.
