Athletic Training Education Student Wins Scholarship

Jessica Cohen, a student in the athletic training education program at the University of Arkansas, was awarded the Eddie Wojecki Memorial Scholarship from the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Research and Education Foundation.

Cohen, of St. Charles, Ill., earned a bachelor's degree in human and organizational development from Vanderbilt University. In May, she finished the first year of the two-year athletic training master's degree program in the College of Education and Health Professions.

The National Athletic Trainers’ Association will recognize Cohen at its 63rd Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposia in St. Louis later this month. She is a student member of the association.

Cohen worked with the Razorback women's basketball team in the spring. She would like to enter physical therapy school or pursue a doctorate after graduation.
