Phishing Scam Advertises Fake University News Forum
Last Friday, several users received an email appearing to come from the university containing a malicious link. After clicking, the user's UARK password is requested. The content of the fraudulent email is below. If you were a victim of this phishing scam, go to passweb.uark.edu and change your UARK password immediately.
Remember that the university will never request user information in an email or on an unsecured login page. Always check for the "S" in HTTPS to ensure a secure login. To validate the legitimacy of email correspondence claiming to come from the University of Arkansas, contact the Help Desk at 575-2901.
