The University of Arkansas Associated Student Government will be hosting the annual SEC Exchange Conference 2012 on Jan. 27-29. SEC Exchange serves as an opportunity for student governments across the Southeastern Conference to share ideas and discuss issues affecting their campuses.

ASG is excited to host all of the SEC schools, including the conference’s newest members, Texas A&M University and the University of Missouri. Guests will be welcomed with a reception at Fowler House and remarks by Chancellor G. David Gearhart. More so, students will hear Charles Robinson, vice provost for diversity at the University of Arkansas, as the morning keynote speaker on January 28. In addition, U.S. Rep. Stephen A. Womack (R-Ark.) will serve as the evening keynote speaker. Student leaders will participate in break-out sessions, have the opportunity to network, enhance their leadership skills, and discuss issues and programs on their campuses.

The conference is hosted annually at an SEC institution. SEC Exchange participants include University of Alabama, Auburn University, University of Florida, University of Georgia, University of Kentucky, Louisiana State University, Mississippi State University, University of Missouri, Ole Miss University, University of South Carolina, University of Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt. A total of 89 students will attend the conference and will be housed at the historic Inn at Carnall Hall.
