Students enrolled in the Meetings, Events and Conventions Management course in the restaurant and hospitality management program collected and donated $500 and about 220 pounds of pet food to the Fayetteville Animal Shelter in December.

Godwin Charles Ogbeide, assistant professor in the School of Human Environmental Sciences, said the students organized a pet pageant, raised money and collected the pet food. This is the fourth year the class has taken on the project to support the shelter.
