Women’s basketball season tickets are available

The University of Arkansas Razorback Ticket Center has announced that season tickets are now on sale for the upcoming 2011-12 women’s basketball season. The Razorbacks host 17 regular season home games at Bud Walton Arena, including several teams who advanced to postseason play last year.

A variety of pricing options are available. Fans can purchase a Family Fun Pack for $75 for two adult and two youth tickets. Reserved seating is $90 for the season and the youth/senior price is just $80.

First-time season ticket buyers can take advantage of a special offer and purchase a season ticket for just $49.

Arkansas hosts Newman College Nov. 3 in an exhibition game before a string of three road contest to open the year. The Razorbacks return home hosting three more November contests followed by five consecutive non-conference games in December.

As a holiday gift for Razorback basketball fans, season ticket holders will be treated to a bonus game in December when the men’s and women’s teams host contests in Bud Walton Arena Dec. 28. The first doubleheader in recent memory, the Razorback women host Mississippi Valley State in a 4 p.m. tip followed by the men’s game with UNC-Charlotte at 7 p.m. Season ticket holders will be able to see both games with the bonus ticket to the men’s contest.

The always-tough Southeastern Conference season opens at home with powerhouse Tennessee Jan. 8 and also includes games with Auburn (Jan. 15), Vanderbilt (Jan. 19), Florida (Jan. 29), Alabama (Feb. 2), South Carolina (Feb. 9), LSU (Feb. 16) and Mississippi State (Feb. 19).
