Internationally Known Musicians to Perform on Campus
Two internationally known musicians, flutist Don Bailey and pianist Donald Sulzen, will perform a program of duets together at 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall at the University of Arkansas.
Bailey and Sulzen will present a program ranging from Mozart to such contemporary composers as Cindy McTee, Frank Martin and Ian Clarke.
Sulzen, who grew up in Kansas City, began is music education at the University of Arkansas before moving on to the Ècole Normale de Musique in Paris, then earning a master’s degree in music at the University of North Texas. He currently lives in Germany, where he is a member of the Munich Piano Trio.
Bailey is originally from Clarksdale, Miss., but rose to fame while living in New York City and touring internationally. He is currently based in Dallas.
General admission for the concert is $10; tickets for seniors are $5 and student tickets are $1 and available at the door.
Parking is available in the Harmon Avenue Parking off Stadium Drive.
