Razorback Men and Women Earn All-Academic Honors

A total of 16 University of Arkansas students – eight each from the men’s and women’s track and field teams – earned places on the 2011 Division I All-Academic Track and Field Team. The team members are chosen by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

On the Razorback women’s track and field team the All-Academic Team members are Makeba Alcide, Tara Diebold, Gwendolyn Flowers, Kristen Gillespie, Megan Jackson, Paige Johnston, Ivanique Kemp and Miranda Walker.

From the Razorback men’s team, Lane Boyer, Brede Ellingsen, Scott Gillespie, Noah Kittelson, Kevin Lazas, Andrew Pennington, Duncan Phillips, and Ben Skidmore were all recognized for their work in the classroom.

To qualify for the All-Academic Team student-athletes must have compiled a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25 and met athletic standards that included a top-96 ranking for individual events, or top-48 status as part of a relay, during the indoor season or participation in any round of the NCAA Championships for the outdoor season.
