Two Leadership Walton Students Interning in Beijing, China

The George W. Edwards Jr. Career Development Center in the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas has partnered with CRCC Asia to offer Walton College students the opportunity to work in Beijing, China, this summer. Two Leadership Walton students were selected for the program to work in China and become immersed in its culture, history and business world.

Kristen Howell, a sophomore accounting major from Keller, Texas, is currently interning at Tancheng Taxation Agents, and Joseph VanMatre, a senior international business major with economics focus from Broken Arrow, Okla., is interning at the Center for China and Globalization. The Beijing Internship Program is a month-long internship supported by the Walton College Global Engagement Office.

CRCC Asia is the leading provider of internships in China. The company gives students the opportunity to further their personal and professional development in a dynamic international setting by providing work experience in Beijing or Shanghai, in an industry sector relevant to the student’s education.
