Non-Traditional Student Leadership Award Receives Permanent Funding, New Name

The Non-Traditional Student Leaders Award received permanent funding and a new name. This award, created by Off Campus Connections in 2006, has been presented each year as a way to recognize outstanding leadership represented by those students who do not fit the traditional mold.

"We are excited to announce that the recipient of this award will now receive $1,000, thanks to a generous gift from the Alumni Association," said Susan Stiers, associate director of Off Campus Connections. The Alumni Association understands and appreciates this student population and reached out to help us make this award even more special."

The award will be a part of the Student Involvement and Leadership Awards ceremony to be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Verizon Ballroom in the Arkansas Union.
