Dalai Lama Pre-Sale Ticket Offering for Faculty, Staff Starts Tuesday

Tickets for faculty and staff who want to attend the keynote address by the Dalai Lama will go on pre-sale starting at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8. Faculty and staff should check their e-mail on the afternoon of Monday, March 7, for the ticket code. For further information, please visit the university's Dalai Lama website or the Walton Arts Center website.

The Dalai Lama will appear in two forums at the University of Arkansas on May 11. He will take part in a morning panel discussion from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and give a keynote address at 1:30 p.m. Both events will be in Bud Walton Arena.

Tickets for the morning panel discussion will be $15 for regular seating or $18 for floor and prime seating. Tickets for the afternoon lecture will be $15 for regular seating and $22 for floor and prime seating. Tickets for both events will be $25 for regular seating or $30 for floor and prime seating. Prices do not include sales tax or fees.

Students who want to attend the keynote address may reserve a free ticket by going to the Walton Arts Center website, or by calling the Walton Arts Center box office, 479-443-5600, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Students must pick up their tickets by 5 p.m. March 11.

Students who would like to get more than one ticket may purchase extra tickets beginning at 9 a.m. March 8.
