Graduate School Hosts Historically Black Universities, Hispanic-Serving Institutions
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. –The Graduate School is hosting faculty and administrators from both historically black colleges and universities and Hispanic-serving institutions to the University of Arkansas through Friday, March 4. They are participating in the Graduate Research Opportunities Forum.
In its third year, the forum was developed to bring advisers from schools in the Graduate School’s George Washington Carver partner schools program to campus. Visiting faculty will learn about summer research opportunities for their undergraduate students and funding opportunities and academic programs for graduate students.
Participating schools include Fort Valley State University, Georgia; Fisk University, Tennessee; University of Texas El Paso; Prairie View A&M University, Texas; Bethune-Cookman University, Florida; University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff; and South Carolina State University. Participants are meeting with University of Arkansas faculty to discuss shared research interests and potential collaborative projects, and tour the campus and Fayetteville.
