Instructor Vinson Carter accompanied the students to southeast Kansas. He reported the results:
- Randal Dickinson and Duncan Luke won first place with their technical teaching presentation.
- Dickinson, Zac Hill, Emily Cook and Dakotah Howard won first in the TECA challenge.
- Cook, Dickinson, Luke, Adrian Risley and Brian Ludwig won second in the live communication contest.
- Cook, Dickinson, Luke, Risley, Ludwig, Howard and Hill won second in problem solving.
- Hill, Howard, Cook and Ludwig won third place in the robotics competition.
"The students did an excellent job planning and competing in their competitions," Carter said. "This event is a great experience and gives them a chance to test their skills against other university students throughout the region."
The students plan to teach technology and engineering education at the junior high and high school levels. The program is based in the College of Education and Health Professions.
