Arkansas 180: Governor, Chancellor Remarks on Dedication of Enterprise Center

The Enterprise Center, the newest component of the Arkansas Research and Technology Park, was dedicated by the University of Arkansas on Oct. 21 with Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe.

This Arkansas 180 video shows remarks by Beebe, Chancellor G. David Gearhart and Phil Stafford, president of the Technology Development Foundation, during the dedication ceremony.

The $16 million Enterprise Center was funded in part through grants from the federal government and the Arkansas Economic Development Commission to help companies nurtured in the park to move toward commercializing their products. Between the finish of construction and the dedication day, the center already had four client companies leasing space to develop new technologies.

The Arkansas 180 Video Series provides an eclectic review of the university campus, giving a 180-degree sweep of the campus in about 180 seconds, featuring student profiles, faculty research, campus events and simple seasonal montages of the changing campus environment. They are produced by the office of university relations as time from other projects allows and posted to Arkansas Newswire and the university’s YouTube channel at least once a month.
