Camping and Entry Rules for Ole Miss Game and Snoop Dogg Concert

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – New camping procedures will be in place for the Razorbacks vs. Ole Miss football game Saturday, Oct. 23, and no camping will be allowed before the Snoop Dogg concert in Barnhill Arena Sunday, Oct. 24.

These procedures have been put in place in order to ensure the safety, security and well-being of students, the university community and the public, as well as safeguarding and preserving all university property and facilities.

Ole Miss Football Game, Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010

  • Camping will be permitted at Gate 17 starting at exactly 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 21 for student entry to the game.
  • Students must register their tents to receive permits registering up to 10 campers per tent. Campers will be asked to register with student affairs staff members or student marshals who will be present for this purpose. Registration details are being worked out and will be announced later in the week.
  • Tents must be attended at all times by at least one person. If left unattended, the tents may be removed by university personnel. Through the tent registration process, campers will be asked to provide a tent captain’s name and telephone number. This person will serve as the contact person for their registered tent.
  • Tents and other camping equipment must be removed by 5:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 23.
  • Stadium Drive will be closed to traffic starting at 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21 until DATE. The north and south ends of Stadium Drive will be open, from Maple to the entrance of the Stadium Drive Parking Facility and from Pomfret Honors Quarters residence hall to Meadow Street. Tents will be permitted on the west sidewalk and a pedestrian lane will be created adjacent to the sidewalk. The northbound traffic lane will be kept free of vehicles and pedestrians to allow access for university or emergency vehicles only.
  • Resident Reserved Zone 8 permit holders will be allowed to access their parking spaces through the barricade on Stadium Drive.

Snoop Dogg Concert, Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010

  • Camping will NOT be permitted at any entrance to Barnhill Arena prior to entry into the Snoop Dogg concert.
  • Barnhill Arena doors on the south side will open at 7 p.m.and the line for entry will not be permitted to form prior to 5 p.m. Entrance to the concert will be through the south side doors only.
