NSF Grant to Enhance Search of Computing Research Literature

Professor Susan Gauch, in collaboration with colleagues at Penn State, was recently awarded a four-year, $262,500 grant from the National Science Foundation for Semantic CiteSeerX.

This builds on previous collaborative research on CiteSeerX, one of the most comprehensive and widely used public resources for Computer Science and Engineering research literature. This new project will develop personalized search and recommendations that will allow users to more easily find research papers of interest to them. This research will develop intelligent search techniques that exploit individual search histories, patterns of citations, and searches within the community of users.
