Arkansas Bass Fishing Team Wins Arklahoma Cup

University of Arkansas students Jerid Jones, left, and Taylor Denniston display the bass they caught to win the Arklahoma Cup on Grand Lake in April.

The University of Arkansas won the Arklahoma Cup on Grand Lake in April with a total of 66.27 pounds in the bass fishing competition. Individual winners Jerid Jones and Taylor Denniston bested the field with 41.25 pounds of fish over two days.

Bass fishing is one of more than 30 club sports in the program operated by Intramural/Recreational Sports.
