University of Arkansas to Hold 2004 "Day of Diversity"
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The University of Arkansas will celebrate the achievements of multicultural high school students from a multi-state area during "A Day of Diversity," Friday, March 26. Activities begin at 11 a.m. and include a full day of events highlighting the university and its commitment to diversity.
"This is an excellent opportunity for prospective students to tour the UA campus, meet with faculty and students, and experience what the university has to offer," said Dawn Medley, director of admissions. "These students will see, first-hand, programs of study that exist on-campus, so they can better prepare for their academic futures and gain a feeling of comfort with the surroundings of the UA campus."
"A Day of Diversity" attracts students from all four corners of Arkansas, including Texarkana, Eudora, Forrest City and Hope. The event will also bring students in from Dallas, Memphis and Tulsa.
