University of Arkansas Career Development Center Hosts Major Career Fairs

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Students looking for information about careers will find that they’ve hit the jackpot when the Career Development Center sponsors the first-ever two-day Engineering Expo, and the Fall Career Fair for all majors beginning Monday, Sept. 24.

The Engineering Expo has become a two-day recruiting fair due to growth in engineering organization attendance. This event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 24 and 25, in Bell Engineering Center. Two different sets of recruiting organizations will be on hand both days of Engineering Expo at the same time and location on both days of the event.

The Job Fair for All Majors and Grad School Fair will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Arkansas Union Ballroom and Connections Lounge. The university is pleased to welcome 104 engineering firms, 60 job and internship recruiting organizations for majors of all kinds, and 25 graduate schools to speak with our students about regional and national graduate school opportunities. Organizational recruiters are seeking majors of all types. Students attending should bring a resume and dress business casual. New to the fair this year is Sea World, and for a complete listing of the organizations attending and the types of majors they are seeking in potential employees, please visit http://career.uark.edu/students/career-fairs.asp.
