The Learning Center was made possible through the generous $100,000 gift from the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation and a partnership between the Division of Student Affairs and the Division of Academic Affairs.
"This is an exciting time for both the Learning Center and the University community," Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Bob Smith said. "Renovations began in January of this year, and we have eagerly watched the Center take shape, becoming a central location designed to foster the intellectual development of the community of student scholars here on campus."
Services offered at the Enhanced Learning Center include:
- Tutoring
- Study Skills Instruction
- Supplemental Instruction
- One-on-one Counseling
- Individualized Educational Plans

"The collegiate experience can be very intimidating for incoming freshmen and transfer students," Associate Dean of Students and Director of the Enhanced Learning Center Ainsley Carry said. "Our goal is to provide mentoring and assistance to those adjusting to the academic arena and provide them the tools and instruction that are essential to making the most of their time here at the University."
