UA Walton College Holds Accounting Careers Awareness Program for High School Students

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas is holding the Accounting Careers Awareness Program (ACAP), a one-week residency program designed to introduce minority high school students to the field of accounting and other areas of business administration through a carefully tailored curriculum.

During the week, students will attend classes in accounting, computer information systems and oral communications. Students will prepare and present a challenging team project to Walton College faculty and staff. In addition, the participants will have opportunities to interact with minority professionals from business and government, as well as visit and observe them in their work environments.

When: During week of Saturday, June 19 - Friday, June 26, 2004
