UA MUSIC DEPARTMENT TO PRESENT FACULTY SHOWCASE RECITAL

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Jura Margulis, University of Arkansas professor of music, and members of the UA music department faculty will present a Faculty Showcase Recital at 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall on the UA campus.

The program of various chamber music includes pieces by Tartini, Beethoven, Schubert, Weber, Schumann, and a premier performance of a new composition by UA music professor Robert Mueller.

The performers will include Jura Margulis, professor of music, piano; Stephen Gates, professor of music and department chair, cello; Ronda Mains, professor of music and associate department chair, flute; Nophachai Cholthitchanta, professor of music, clarinet; Theresa Delaplain, professor of music, oboe; Heal Woolworth, professor of music, trumpet; and Katherine Lewis, UA student, soprano.

General admission is $5, and students, faculty/staff and seniors tickets are $1.
