UA COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING NAMES OUTSTANDING FACULTY

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas College of Engineering announced the recipients of the college faculty awards for the 2001-2002 academic year.

Faculty receiving the College of Engineering Outstanding Teacher award are Carl Griffis, biological engineering; Ed Clausen, chemical engineering; Amy Apon, computer science & computer engineering; Steve Burian, civil engineering; Hameed Naseem, electrical engineering; Manuel Rossetti, industrial engineering; and Rick Couvillion, mechanical engineering.

Faculty members who received the College of Engineering Outstanding Researcher award are Yanbin Li, biological engineering; Greg Thoma, chemical engineering; Russell Deaton, computer science & computer engineering; Kevin Hall, civil engineering; H. Alan Mantooth, electrical engineering; Scott Mason, industrial engineering; and Ajay Malshe, mechanical engineering.

Those faculty members receiving the College of Engineering Outstanding Service to Students award are Tom Costello, biological engineering; Roy Penney, chemical engineering; Gordon Beavers, computer science & computer engineering; Jack Buffington, civil engineering; J. Woody Charlton, electrical engineering; Terry Collins, industrial engineering; and James Davis, mechanical engineering.
