Third Provost Candidate to Make Public Presentation at University of Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Stuart Bell, one of four candidates for the position of provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Arkansas, will visit the campus Thursday, Nov. 6. He will be interviewed by the 20-member search committee for the provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, which is made up of administrators, faculty, staff and student representatives. University Chancellor G. David Gearhart is the committee chair.

will also make a public presentation at 2 p.m. in Giffels auditorium. All members of the university community and general public are invited to attend.

Bell is currently dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Kansas. He has a doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University and was professor and head of the mechanical engineering department at the University of Alabama.
