Third Annual Economics for Success Business Luncheon

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — On Wednesday, Nov. 28, University of Arkansas Students in Free Enterprise and Northwest Arkansas Junior Achievement will host the Third Annual Economics for Success Business Luncheon. The luncheon will be from 11 a.m. to noon at the John Q. Hammons Convention Center in Rogers. John Fleming, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Wal-Mart Stores Division will be providing the keynote address.

Current 2007 sponsors include Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, Bank of America, Bayer Consumer Care, Catalina Marketing, Center for Retailing Excellence at the Sam M. Walton College of Business, Embassy Suites of Northwest Arkansas, Kraft Foods Inc., and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The event serves as a fundraiser for both University of Arkansas SIFE and NWA Junior Achievement. Tickets to the luncheon are $50 per person or $500 for a table of 10. By sending business leaders into the classrooms, Junior Achievement aims to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics to improve the quality of their lives. Through age-appropriate curricula, Northwest Arkansas Junior Achievement programs focus on middle school education, preparing students for future economic and workforce issues they'll face. NWA Junior Achievement is currently in all middle schools in Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville.
