A sell-out is expected, as more than half of the tickets to the 1,000 seat event have been sold

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Organizers for the Sam M. Walton College of Business Administration’s Business Hall of Fame celebration say tickets to the event are going fast, with 631 tickets having been sold as of Jan. 7. Those wishing to attend the event are encouraged to contact the college as soon as possible in order to assure a reservation.

The Arkansas Business Hall of Fame celebration will be held on Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at the State House Convention Center in Little Rock. A cocktail reception will be held at 6 p.m. and dinner and the program will begin at 7 p.m. The event is black-tie optional. Tickets are

Being honored at the 2000 Arkansas Business Hall of Fame are: Joe T. Ford, Chairman and chief executive officer of ALLTEL; the late Harvey Jones, founder of Jones Truck Lines; Donald W. Reynolds, founder of the Donrey Media Group; and Don Tyson, senior chairman of the board of Tyson Foods, Inc.

The Sam M. Walton College of Business Administration established the first Arkansas Business Hall of Fame in 1999 recognizing Arkansans - by birth or by choice - who have been successful business leaders.

The Hall of Fame is designed to honor, preserve, and perpetuate the names and outstanding accomplishments of business leaders who have brought lasting fame to Arkansas. Last year, the inaugural inductees included: William T. Dillard of Dillard's, Inc., Charles H. Murphy of Murphy Oil Company, Jackson T. Stephens of Stephens Inc., and the late Sam M. Walton of Wal-Mart, Inc.
