Wal-Mart has received accolades for their timely and efficient aid after Hurricane Katrina, which was a direct result of the work of Jackson and Senser. Because of their experiences dealing with different emergencies in the over 6,000 Wal-Mart units, they were able to develop efficient ways of dealing with disasters. Jackson and Senser will share how they were able to get aid to the right people at the right time within days of Hurricane Katrina. Wal-Mart is still leading the corporate hurricane relief effort through continuing monetary, capital, and human resource donations.
