Sam M. Walton College Of Business Administration Appoints Director Of Development
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Sam M. Walton College of Business Administration at the University of Arkansas has announced the appointment of Robin Baldwin of Springdale, Ark., as its new director of development.
Baldwin was previously the director of development for the University’s College of Education and Health Professions. In addition, she brings nearly a decade's worth of management, sales and marketing experience to the Walton College. She held various key positions with Washington Regional Medical Center, Ozark Guidance and Knoll Pharmaceutical Company before joining the University. She currently serves several civic and professional organizations, including the Junior League of Northwest Arkansas and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership program.
In addition to fund-raising responsibilities, Baldwin also serves as head of the Walton College’s office of external relations, which includes communications and special events. She holds a master’s degree in health science (1995) and a bachelor’s degree in psychology (1991), both from the University of Arkansas.
"I am extremely pleased that Robin has joined the Walton College," said Dean Doyle Z. Williams. "She brings a strong set of professional talents to the position. In addition, she has the business background and volunteer experience that will help us reach our fund-raising goals to provide excellence in education in the business disciplines. Robin also will play an important role in developing new relationships with alumni as well as nurturing the existing partnerships with supporters of the College."
Williams added, "Robin was recently selected as one of 25 business leaders to participate in this year’s Fayetteville Chamber of Commerce Leadership Fayetteville class. This is just one of the many ways the Walton College is expanding its involvement in the Fayetteville community."
Clay Edwards, assistant vice chancellor for development, said, "A critical mission of the Walton College is to provide service to the businesses of the state and region, and private support has been a key to the success it enjoys today. Robin brings the enthusiasm we need to continue the fine efforts of the faculty and staff of the Walton College."
