Functional pottery by Jennifer Pease

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Thirty original works by functional potter Jennifer Pease are on exhibit through April 24 in the lobby of the University of Arkansas Global Campus Center for Continuing Education at 2 E. Center St. in Fayetteville.

Hours for this special exhibition are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Global Campus will be displaying works throughout the year by different regional artists and university art students.

Jennifer Pease is a functional potter who works with various clays and firing methods. She finds inspiration from old quilts, animation and plush. She loved making mud pies as a kid and tries to keep that youthful attitude when she works with clay.

Jennifer holds a bachelor’s degree in painting from the University of Arkansas. When she is not taking continuing education hours in ceramics at the university, she works as the visual art director at the Arts Center of the Ozarks in Springdale.

Thirty pieces are displayed for viewing and sale. Inquires to the artist may be made at jennifer.pease1@gmail.com.
