Local Hog Fans Can Catch a Ride to Arkansas Invasion of Dallas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Local Razorback fans are invited to join the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association for a road trip to Razorback Stadium Southwest (the Cotton Bowl) to watch the Hogs play Southern Methodist University on September 4, 1999 in Dallas, Texas.

This travel group is joining up with the Arkansas Alumni Association's "Arkansas Invasion" concept, a marketing campaign designed to insure that spirited Razorback fans well outnumber SMU fans in Dallas on Labor Day Weekend.

Round trip coach transportation from Fayetteville to the game has been arranged, complete with a stop at the Dallas Alumni Chapter's Razorback Tailgate Party before the game.

Game time is currently set for a 7:00 p.m. kick-off, so the group will depart at 8 a.m., Saturday, September 4 and return Sunday morning. Cost is $160.00 for singles and $229.00 for doubles, which includes game tickets, lodging at the Campbell Centre Doubletree, and transportation. Expenses are based upon a minimum of 40 "hog callers" to fill the bus. Payment in full is required with each reservation and available seats are first come, first served. If the bus is not filled, all costs will be refunded in full.

Other individual cancellations are non-refundable, but reservations are transferable.

The deadline for reservations is July 20, 1999; interested persons may call Christy Lunsford at (479) 575-2801 or 1-888-ARK-ALUM to get on the list. Checks are payable to the "NWA Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association." Reservations should include an address, daytime phone number and names of all travelers.

ALL Razorback fans are welcome!

The overall purpose of the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the Arkansas Alumni Association is described in the following chapter mission statement:
