FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The University of Arkansas has chosen 18 top scholars from Arkansas and surrounding states as finalists for the prestigious Bodenhamer Fellowship. Of the 18, seven will be awarded the fellowship to attend the University.
Bodenhamer Fellowships are worth up to $44,000 for four years of study or up to $55,000 for five years if the student is pursuing an accredited five-year degree program. The fellowship covers tuition and fees, room and board, the purchase of books and supplies, and additional benefits of the student's choice, such as travel, study abroad and special equipment.
Bodenhamer Fellowships, one of the most prestigious and competitive scholarships in the nation, were created in 1998 to be awarded to freshman entering the U of A in the fall of each year. There are 11 current Bodenhamer Fellows at the U of A.
