Finalists For Dean Of The Honors College To Meet With Campus Community During Open Forums

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Three finalists for the position of Dean of the Honors College at the University of Arkansas will be visiting with the campus community during respective visits Feb. 9, 16 and 19. The Office of the Provost and Academic Affairs is hosting the forums to give the campus community the opportunity to hear each candidate’s presentation. The candidates will be available for questions following their presentations. The campus community and media are invited to attend.

Wallace L. Daniel will be introduced to the campus community at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 9, at Giffels Auditorium in Old Main. Daniel has been dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Baylor University since 1996. He is also the Ralph L. and Bessie Mae Lynn Professor of History.

Paul D. Escott will be introduced to the campus community at 1 p.m., Monday, Feb. 16, at Giffels Auditorium in Old Main. Escott has been dean of Wake Forest College since 1995. He has also been the Reynolds Professor of History at Wake Forest University since 1990.

William Monroe will be introduced to the campus community at 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 19, at Giffels Auditorium in Old Main. Monroe has been the associate dean of the Honors College at the University of Houston since 1995. He is also a special member of the graduate faculty at the University of Texas Medical Branch and a professor of English at the University of Houston.
