Eighth Circuit Affirms Dismissal of Richardson Suit

UA Associate General Counsel Scott Varady released the following response related to the Nolan Richardson lawsuit Friday, May 26:

“The University of Arkansas is very pleased with today’s decision of the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, which affirmed the District Court’s dismissal of a lawsuit filed by Nolan Richardson. In a thorough and well-reasoned decision, the Court of Appeals concluded that Mr. Richardson was not terminated by the University based on his race or for speaking out on matters of public concern.”
