Campaign For The Twenty-First Century Tops $750 Million

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The University of Arkansas Campaign for the Twenty-First Century edged closer to its $900 million goal last week when the total reached $750,228,295. The total accounts for 211,400 gifts and pledges made since the Campaign began July 1, 1998.

This represents 83 percent of the goal raised in 74 percent of the time allotted to raise the funds.

Also, the $300 Million Challenge, the University of Arkansas’ effort to match the $300 million challenge grant made by the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation in April 2002 has reached $120,407,716.

This is 40 percent of the $300 million goal in 48 percent of the time allotted. Challenge funds must be raised between Jan. 1, 2002, and the end of the Campaign on June 30, 2005.
