AWTC Launches Web Site
ROGERS, Ark — The Arkansas World Trade Center has launched a Web site — http://ArkansasWorldTradeCenter.org/ — designed to keep the public informed of news and events associated with Arkansas business around the world.
The site, which was launched on March 27, serves as a vehicle for communication and provides tools that Arkansas businesses, individuals and students can use to be more aware and better equipped to trade on a global scale.
“We're very pleased with the outcome of our new site and look forward to having a medium that will be highly efficient in getting the information accessed and resourced,” said Dan Hendrix, president and chief executive officer of the Arkansas World Trade Center. “We have been tasked to help grow our economy by providing these tools to our state community, and the Web site is just one on these tools that we will present."
“The site was created to show the public the events that the World Trade Center has already been involved with in promoting Arkansas to the world,” said Ron Bird, owner of DesignWorks, the company that built the new site. “ArkansasWorldTradeCenter.org will become the address to find information on growing your business on an international level."
The Arkansas World Trade Center was established in 2006 to promote international trade throughout the state and region. Its purpose is to bring together businesses and governmental agencies involved in foreign trade to further the economic outlook for the state as a whole, as well as to encourage stability, peace and world trade development on the global level. The University of Arkansas holds license in the World Trade Centers Association, and the membership was funded by the Arkansas Department of Economic Development.
