Ask The Executives

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - If you ever really wanted to know what corporate executives think on a topic, you will have a chance to find out on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Information Technology Executive Forum. More than a dozen top executives will spend two hours answering questions from students, faculty and staff from across the University of Arkansas campus.

The panel includes executives from companies such as ACXIOM, AllTel, Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Arvest, Beverly Enterprises, Data-Tronics, Dillards, J.B. Hunt, Southwestern Energy, Tyson Foods and Wal-Mart. They will answer questions posed by audience members.

The IT Executive Forum is sponsored by the Information Technology Research Center (ITRC) in the Walton College of Business Administration. Moderated by Tim Kizer, ITRC managing director, the panel of executives will answer as many questions as possible from the audience.

Scheduled from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. in the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the Fayetteville campus, the IT Executive Forum will be followed by a reception in the Reynolds Center. The forum and reception are free and open to all students, faculty and staff. However, seating in the auditorium is limited to approximately 300.

The forum also will be simulcast to audiences at Arkansas Tech in Russellville and the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. Participants at those sites will be able to ask questions as well.

In addition, the forum will be webcast on the Internet for those unable to attend. Those desiring to watch the event from a distance can view a RealPlayer webcast by simply going to http://itrc.uark.edu and clicking on the "IT Executive Forum Webcast" hyperlink.  The link will be available the morning of the event.  There will be instructions on these pages directing participants in how to ask questions as well.

The IT Executive Forum is part of an ITRC program called Executives in the Classroom. In this program, high-level executives from around the United States are brought to the Walton College of Business Administration for a day. They attend several classes and talk to the students about various business topics. Students may also attend a luncheon or reception, which provides additional networking opportunities.

Further information on the IT Executive Forum can be obtained by contacting Debbie Wilson by phone at (479) 575-4261 or by email at dwilson@walton.uark.edu.
