Multicultural Center and Diversity Inclusion Student Council to Host Native and Indigenous Heritage Event
Join the Multicultural Center in partnership with the Diversity Inclusion Student Council 6-7 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 20, in the MC Gallery for Celebrating Native Culture: Storytelling and Music. Experience the power of storytelling and music in an evening that celebrates Indigenous voices and traditions.
Activist Alicia Flores, a long-time member of the American Indian Movement, will share stories that reflect resilience, identity, and the ongoing struggle for justice. Her storytelling will be accompanied by the moving sounds of Gaby Nagel, a flutist from the Eastern Cherokee Nation, whose performances honor ancestral roots through rhythm and melody. Together, their artistry invites the campus community to listen, learn, and connect through the rich heritage of Native culture.
Food will be provided and everyone is welcome! This space meets ADA regulations
