Supervisor Development Program Relaunches for Fall With Two Available Cohorts
The U of A is excited to announce the relaunch of the Supervisor Development Program, offering two new cohorts this fall specifically tailored for new supervisors or current leaders who have yet to receive leadership training.
The Supervisor Development Program is designed to develop new supervisors by equipping them with the knowledge, tools and resources to build critical competencies to effectively lead at the U of A. This cohort-based program also serves to support participants in building connections with other supervisors across campus, contributing to the university's ongoing efforts to create a supportive and effective leadership culture.
- Every other Wednesday: Sept. 10, Sept. 24, Oct. 8, Oct. 22 and Nov. 8
- Every other Tuesday: Sept. 16, Sept. 30, Oct. 14, Oct. 28 and Nov. 11
Participants should ensure they are available to attend all five sessions prior to registering. This interactive, in-person learning experience is delivered in five all-day modules over a 10-week period. Cohorts are capped at 20 participants and are meant to represent a cross-section of departments, units and roles.
By the end of the program, participants will be able to articulate their purpose as a supervisor at the U of A, recognize and adapt their leadership style to drive results, improve the employee experience and explore leading with a strategic mindset.
