The U of A Inspirational Chorale, under the direction of interim director professor Lauren N. Clare, invites the public to an unforgettable evening of music with their spring concert, Perfect Peace. The performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center.

Founded in 1977, the Inspirational Chorale is the university's longest-running diversity initiative, dedicated to preserving and celebrating the Black Sacred Music Tradition. The ensemble is known for its powerful performances of gospel, spirituals and works by non-idiomatic Black composers, inspiring audiences with its spirit and artistry for nearly five decades.

Clare, who also serves as the voice area coordinator and director of the Voices Jazz Ensemble at the U of A, leads the chorale during this important milestone performance — the final concert of the semester.

Tickets for Perfect Peace are $10 for general admission and $5 for U of A students, faculty and staff. Tickets will be available at the door (card payment only) and are subject to availability. Early arrival is encouraged to secure seating.

For any questions, please contact professor Lauren N. Clare at lclare@uark.edu.

Join us for an uplifting evening that honors tradition, showcases incredible talent and celebrates the enduring legacy of Black sacred music. Don't miss this inspiring conclusion to the semester!
