Michelle Whittaker has been hired as the new manager for the university's campus card office, following the recent retirement of former manager Kelly Townsend.

As part of her role, Whittaker will direct and coordinate the production of the university's ID cards as well as oversee the office's marketing and customer service efforts. She will work closely with dining services to facilitate daily operations and sales for the university's meal plans.

"My husband brought our family to northwest Arkansas four years ago to teach at the ROTC program at the U of A," she said. "I'm grateful for the opportunity to join the University of Arkansas and am looking forward to serving our community."

Whittaker earned a bachelor's degree in organizational communication and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix. She previously held various roles in billing support services, accounting, and management.
