Volunteers Needed for Razorback Food Recovery Program

Calling all students! Do you want to help reduce food waste in our community? Join Razorback Food Recovery (RFR) this semester!

What is RFR? Razorback Food Recovery is a student-led and student-operated volunteer program through the Volunteer Action Center. RFR works to recover excess food from on-campus dining outlets and local partners — food that would otherwise go to a landfill. With the help of Chartwells, Greek Life houses and Ozark Natural Foods, Razorback Food Recovery can distribute excess food to those who experience food insecurity both on-campus and in the Fayetteville community.

Volunteers are needed for the following shift times (applicants can choose one or more shifts to volunteer):

  • Tuesdays 3:30-4:30 p.m. (Distro)
  • Wednesdays noon to 1 p.m. (Grocery processing)
  • Thursdays 2:30-3:30 p.m. (Distro)
  • Thursdays 10-11 a.m. (Retail recovery)

Your commitment would be once a week for the remainder of the semester.
