U of A Museum Tours Available This Spring
The U of A Museum is thrilled to announce tour dates for the spring semester! Whether you are interested in a general tour of the museum's collection facility or have a specialized focus, we are happy to work with you to create a memorable experience.
Members of the museum's 2024-25 docent cohort provide tours of the museum's collections. The docents are volunteer guides who are enthusiastic about museums and want to share their knowledge of the University Museum's collections with the community. They can also provide more personalized tours based on their background and expertise.
One of the docents, Kristi Mascher, is the UACL executive leader and programming coordinator and a teaching assistant professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction. As someone who is both a faculty member and on the museum's Advisory Council, she provides a unique perspective on the program.
"The docent program has been a meaningful and hands-on way to support the museum's educational outreach initiatives," she said. "As a member of the museum's Advisory Council, I'm excited to see how we are expanding our connection from the campus community to the greater community of Northwest Arkansas through engaging learning opportunities. On a personal level, I love learning more and more about the museum's fascinating collections!"
