Spring 2025 Grad Fitness Week: Feb. 3 - 9
The Graduate and Professional Student Congress is excited to invite both new and returning graduate and professional students to participate in our Spring 2025 Grad Fitness Week, happening from Feb. 3 - 9.
Grad Fitness Week is designed to promote physical fitness and encourage graduate students to utilize UREC facilities like the HPER Building to support their overall well-being. Engaging in regular physical activity plays a significant role in reducing stress, improving mental health and enhancing academic performance by boosting concentration, memory and problem-solving skills.
Twenty-five participants will be randomly selected to receive a $25 gift card each. Plus, don't miss our midweek social gathering with free food on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 6-8 p.m.!
Check out the daily schedule of events below and join us in prioritizing your fitness and well-being this semester. Note: when accessing the HPER building, remember to bring your student ID or use the UREC app for entry. Also check the parking lots here.
Monday, Feb. 3: Wellness Day
- 3-5 p.m.: Visit the Wellness Lounge in Pat Walker Health Center - register here
Tuesday, Feb. 4: Group Fitness Day: attend a group fitness class - register 24 hours in advance on the UREC Member Portal or UREC app.
- 7:15-8 a.m.: Yoga (UREC Fitness Center*)
- 5:30-6:15 p.m.: Zumba (UREC Fitness Center*)
- 7:15-7:25 p.m.: Cycle Skills (HPER Cycle)
- 7:30-8 p.m.: Cycle Express (HPER Cycle)
Wednesday, Feb. 5: HPER Day
- 5-6 p.m.: Wheelchair basketball in HPER Gym 4
- 6-8 p.m.: Grad Fitness Week Celebration - Drop by HPER Floor 1 to grab food, build community, ask questions about UREC and get a tour of the HPER.
Thursday, Feb. 6: UREC Fitness Center Day
- 6-8 p.m.: Meet at the UREC Fitness Center in the Union to explore the space and work out. A personal trainer will be on hand to answer questions.
Friday, Feb. 7: Group Fitness Day - Attend a group fitness class - register 24 hours in advance on the UREC Member Portal or UREC app.
- 7:15-8 a.m.: Pilates (UREC Fitness Center*)
- Noon-12:45 p.m.: Yoga (UREC Fitness Center*)
Saturday, Feb. 8: Aquatics Day
- 11 a.m.-4 p.m.: Drop by the HPER pool to swim or check out the space!
Sunday, Feb. 9: Climb Day
- 4-8 p.m.: Drop by to climb from either the HPER Gym 1 Climbing Wall or Bouldering Wall in HPER 102!
